Your Family Story Deserves More Than Assumptions
Bnei Anusim are descendants of Jews who were forced to convert, particularly during periods of persecution in Spain, Portugal, and other regions.
For many descendants, knowledge of that history survived only through fragments: a family story, an unusual custom, a document, a surname, a recipe, a feeling of recognition, or a recent DNA result. While discovering those clues can be meaningful, it can also raise difficult questions.
Inside 7613, you don’t have to exaggerate what you know or minimize what you feel. You can study the history of the Bnei Anusim, learn about ancestry and status, and understand which questions require records, local community guidance, or a qualified beit din.
7613 provides community, and access to educators who can help you understand the questions and identify responsible next steps. Your ancestry is part of your story. You’re allowed to explore it.

A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER
Before I was Jewish, I was piecing together a relationship with HaShem with no roadmap. Conversion didn't end that search, it just changed the questions.
Hi, I’m Tassja Cadoch, founder of 7613: The Chosen Path.
As a convert through the Conservative movement, I know firsthand that Jewish status isn't universally accepted, and that whether I count as Jewish depends on who's asking.
I built the Deepening Judaism Path for every version of that experience: the person born Jewish who never got the education, the one untangling a family story that was hidden for generations, the convert who's done the work but is still building the life, and the person who loves HaShem but can't go back to the place their Judaism was taught to them with judgement attached.

No. Members range from fully secular to Orthodox, and everything in between. Some are lighting Shabbat candles for the first time; others have been observant for decades. You won't be asked to prove your level of observance to participate, and you won't be the only one still figuring things out.
